Fungus Friday - Puffballs

I remember walking around my Grandma's yard in Northern Michigan when I was younger, and seeing these little white and brown balls in the grass.  They did the neatest thing when you kicked them, they exploded with a puff of dust!  Turns out, they were mushrooms, and I was told not to touch them with my hands.  So, I was content kicking them.  Well, the Orks have put Puffball mushrooms to good use.  In 2nd Ed. 'Ere we Go book, it speaks of the Puffballs, and how the orks used them.  I personally like the art the best.  Enjoy!

I found it interesting that the orks use it for both a weapon, and medicine...join us next week when we look at Sporlings.

  1. I love the art too. The old approach to snotlings was more fun, and the innocence added depth to the idea of the society.

  2. Isn't 'Ere We Go a first edition book?

  3. It is...in my first Second ed saturday post, I mentioned that I will be posting things from Rogue Trader, 2nd and 3rd editions. But, "Rogue Trader, 2nd and 3rd ed Saturday" didn't sound as good...

  4. Actually, upon further investigation, 'Ere we Go is a second ed book, and Waaargh the Orks is Rogue Trader...

  5. Second edition overwrote the army lists in 'Ere We Go with the Black Codex, though, so surely... oh, I give up. It's all 'good old-school stuff' now anyway.
