Now take a step back into the Wayback Machine, and we shall arrive in the year 1991, to take a closer look at the "Ere we Go" book for Orks, 2nd Ed.
We all know Orks have an unpredictable nature. (Which is why some folks like to play them.) But, can you imagine wildly random happenings in the middle of your well thought out plan. Apparently, this is what the Ork generals of 2nd ed had to contend with. But, it did bring a whole new level of fun to the game.
There were events like Madboyz Moodchange, and Goff Battlerage...fun stuff, that would cause your ork units to not behave like you wanted them to, but like proppa orks!
