I painted this guy way back in 2006, I had three, and the other 2 had storm clouds over their heads with lighting coming down to their rods...of course they were lost in a move, and this lone Stormsmith is all that remained...and since you need three to be truly effective, I decided to give this one to my son, as a special treat, as I want to get a pack of 3 and re-do them, along with the
Stormsmith Tower. This was a first for me, (modeling lightning, and only my second time doing OSL or (Object source lighting). Although, it is subtle in the pics, it looks much better in person. I think next time, I need to use thinner wire, and not so much glue at the end, and go a bit more OTT with the OSL. I did like the way the greatcoat turned out on the back. Overall, I feel that this is definitely not my greatest paint job...but not bad nonetheless.
I would absolutely love to get the new
StormStrider..perhaps someday...
Anyways, here's the pics...
enemies of cygnar, beware the wrath of the Storm...
His rod, is actually a metallic copper color, even though it looks brown in these pics.
I love shading and highlighting on cloth.
I got nothing to say about this pic...
If you look at this pic, and the first one, check out his goggles. Those were really hard to do.
I like this guy. I can't see what you did with the goggles because the pictures are so tiny.
